What is Touch Surgery?

Touch Surgery is a mobile surgical simulator that guides you through complex operations by breaking them down into their component steps.

Who creates the contents on the app?

Working with leading Surgeons and Institutions worldwide we are creating accurate and valuable surgical content.  We are disseminating the best techniques and procedures to improve the quality of surgery worldwide.

How much does Touch Surgery cost?

Touch Surgery is a free download on the App Store and on the Google Play Store.

Do I need to sign up?

Yes, we’d like to get to know a bit about you!

Through few taps select your primary interests allowing us to suggest great content for you.

Alternatively you can easily login with your LinkedIn profile.

What is verification and how can I become verified?

When selecting your profession, you will be asked if you would like to verify your account.

You can always verify your account later within the app by filling simple information and completing your personal profile.

What are the benefits of verifying my account?

Once you verify yourself you will be able to:

  •    Get early access to exciting new content and features before general release.
  •  Collaborate with us to build Touch Surgery to meet your needs.
  •  Join the Touch Surgery community of verified surgeons.

Is verifying my account free of charge?

Yes, Touch Surgery is entirely free. There are no hidden costs or fees.

What do I do next?

Your homepage is your stream. It is a timeline that shows you the latest surgical news and latest adding to the app by content team.

By clicking on the menu button, you will see tabs for your profile, stream, progress and module library.

Where can I find the operation I would like to test or perform?

By clicking on “Module Library,” you will be able to see all of the available modules on the app. These modules are categorized based on specialties. You can then search the terms you are looking for and hopefully, the required procedure will show up.

You can also click on the funnel logo to filter these specialties based on your preferences.

What do I do once I find the module I want?

You tap on it and then background information will show up with further details regarding the module’s author.

You will be able to bookmark this module for later or you can download it and then either start “learning” or “testing” process.

What’s is “Learn”?

By selecting “Learn”, the app will teach you all the appropriate moves you need to use and, it will guide you step by step through the virtual surgical procedure; including what surgical instruments to use and a thorough explanation of each step.

A progress timeline is showing how many steps you have left until the completion of the operation.

What about “Test”?

Once you finish learning the module, you will be tested. Or if you feel experienced enough, you can jump start to the “Test” tab.

Each step will count to your final score. So try to remember the right moves to complete the procedure.

If you get stuck you can always ask for a hint and you will get more insight as of what to do (but you won’t get any points for this step).

I am very proud of my scores, what do I do?

You can share your scores on your preferred social networks or by email.

Challenge your colleagues and see who scores higher.

Where can I see my overall progress?

You can see your overall progress on all the modules you’ve taken by tapping on “My progress” tab in your menu. This allows you to view your performance across modules from each specialty.

You can then compare your score percentage across all the phases of the surgical operation to know exactly what are your strengths and weaknesses.
